Vidya Balan born 1 January 1978 is an Indian actress. She has established a successful career in Bollywood and is the recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award, five Filmfare Awards, and five Screen Awards, and was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014.
Vidya is known for portraying strong female protagonists and has been acknowledged in the media for pioneering a change in the concept of a Hindi film heroine.

P.R. Balan – Father
P.R. Balan, is the father of bollywood beauty Vidya Balan. He is currently the Executive Vice President of Digicable.
Vidya Balan mentioned on Anupum Kher show that she was very nervous of Mr. Balan after doing a very bold but liberating role in the movie The Dirty Picture. She had been feeling quite embarrassed in facing her daddy dearest comments on asking his views about his daughter’s gutsy role in the movie. But what Vidya didn't realize that she was in for a delightful and completely fun filled surprise.
When Mr. Balan came on stage to share his views, he was full of praises for his darling daughter! He said that he felt proud of his daughter’s performance in the movie. He did not find anything vulgar and even predicted that the movie would be a super hit. He approved of the film and also cried as she (Vidya) dies at the end of the movie!

Vidya Balan’s mother, Saraswathy Balan is a homemaker.
Her mother could not recognize her in the movie The Dirty Picture due to her bold look in the film. But she was cool with it!
Priyamani Balan – Sister
Vidya’s elder sister Priyamani Balan works in the advertisement industry.
Priyamani has also tried her luck in the Bollywood film industry. Her debut in the Indian film industry was with Mani Ratnam’s Raavan. Priyamani played the role of Raavan’s (played by dashing actor Abhishek Bachchan) sister, Shoorpanakha. Earlier south siren Nayantara was approached for the role but she refused.
Many other bollywood actresses were approached for the role but they too refused as they did not want to ruin their chances of being paired romantically opposite Junior B (Abhishek Bachchan) by playing his sister!
Siddharth Roy Kapur – Husband
Siddharth Roy Kapur is the Managing Director, Studios, Disney UTV. He has been with UTV since 2005. After completing his graduation in B.Com from Sydenham College, he obtained his MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS).
As Senior Vice President, he headed the Marketing & Communications division across Motion Pictures, Broadcasting, Television, Animation and Corporate. He has led the marketing efforts on many successful projects like Parineeta, Taxi 9211, Bluffmaster, Rang De Basanti, the cult sleeper hit Khosla Ka Ghosla, Jodhaa Akbar, Fashion, Aamir, A Wednesday!, Dev D,Kaminey, Raajneeti, Udaan, Peepli [Live], No One Killed Jessica, Delhi Belly, Rowdy Rathore, Paan Singh Tomar, Barfi!, Heroine, ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, Kai Po Che!, Ghanchakkar and recently with Chennai Express, Satyagraha, The Lunchbox, Shahid and going forward on all upcoming productions from the studio like P.K., Shatir, Pizza, Fitoor and many more.
Mr. Kapur got married to Parineeta actress Vidya Balan on 14th December in the year 2012 in Bandra, Mumbai. He is a two time divorcee. First time he married a girl whom he knew as a kid and his second wife is a television producer.
Aditya Roy Kapur – Brother in Law
Vidya Balan’s brother in law, Aditya Roy Kapur is also a known face in the Bollywood fim industry and has acted in films like London dreams, Action Replayy, Guzaarish, Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in that order.
After the small roles in London Dreams, Action Replayy and Guzaarish, Aditya grabbed the lead role in the movie Aashiqui 2, which was a big blockbuster. Ashiqui 2 is a sequel to the 1990 romantic drama, Aashiqui, starring actor Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal.
In Aashiqui 2, Aditya Roy Kapur played the role of Rahul Jaykar, a successful musician whose career is waning because of his addiction to alcohol. Shraddha Kapoor plays the main lead actress in Aashiqui 2, here name in the movie is Aarohi.
Kunaal Roy Kapur – Brother in Law
Kunaal Roy Kapur, another brother in law of Vidya Balan, is also just like his brothers a known face in the industry and a talented and versatile actor.
